Star Ledger: Rabbi wins Democratic nomination to face Garrett in the fall

Three-term Republican incumbent Rep. Scott Garrett will face Rabbi Dennis Shulman in the race for the 5th District congressional seat this fall.
Shulman defeated civil rights attorney Camille Abate in the Democratic primary. He also beat Roger Bacon, a registered Republican who was running in the Democratic primary because he said he believed the party would do better in the fall.
Shulman, of Demarest, is a rabbi and a psychologist. He has been blind since childhood. (Read more at The Star-Ledger)
