WHAT: Former Governor and current State Senate President Richard Codey, who is widely considered New Jersey’s most popular politician, will join NJ-5 Democratic Nominee Dennis Shulman on a press conference call and at the Hoboken train station on Monday, November 3rd.  The call will be held at 2:00PM, followed by an appearance at New Jersey Transit’s Hoboken Terminal from 5:00 to 6:00PM. On the heels of Shulman’s endorsement by the Bergen Record, Governor Codey and Shulman will discuss the state of the race as voters get ready to hit the polls and vote for change on Election Day.


WHO:

Dr. Dennis Shulman, the Democratic nominee for Congress in NJ-5, has gained international recognition for his 30 years of work as a psychologist, educator, and author.  An ordained rabbi for five years and blind since childhood, he has lived in New Jersey’s Fifth District for more than 25 years with his wife, Dr. Pamela Tropper, an obstetrician. They have two adult daughters.

Senate President and former Governor Richard J. Codey began his career in state government in 1973 when he was elected to the Assembly.  He went on to become a Senator in 1982 and while serving as Senate President in 2004 he assumed the governorship when Governor James E. McGreevey resigned before his term expired.  Throughout a career in state government that has spanned more than three decades, Codey has earned a reputation as an independent thinker and a champion of change to benefit the public good.
